What a JOY!

Grandma Joy stopped by last night on her way to Choir Practice (She sings in the MoTab). She dropped me off some yummy HoneyCrisp Apples (which were on sale for like 88 cents a lb in Tremonton) and to spend some time with the kids. She was even able to have some home made chicken noodle soup with us too. Carson got to read to her, and Livy was even happy and Grandma hold her without crying! They were in the front room playing, so I thought I would grab a few pictures of them having fun with grandma!

My kids adore their grandparents! We are so lucky to get to spend time with them!

Hallie turns 2!!!

Yesterday, we all got together at Matt & Nat's house in Ogden to celebrate Hallie's birthday. She will be 2 on Monday (the 26th). I can't believe how big she is getting! It makes us so excited for Natalie to have another baby in January, also a little girl!

The kids had so much fun playing on the swing set, in the sandbox, and playing with sidewalk chalk. They also loved helping Hallie open her presents!!!
We had fun eating pizza and cupcakes! And it was a fun evening spent with family. We love any reason to get together and party!

Family Time

Marisa and her family were on their way home from Disneyland last Sunday, so they stopped by on their way home and had dinner with us. My mom had also joined us after Church and planned to stay the night to come and watch my Triathlon on Monday. We grilled some pork chops and chicken, enjoyed salads, corn on the cob, and brownies for dessert. It was great to spend just a few hours with them before they headed home to Idaho.

Carson and Kaylee love the Pugmire cousins and they had a blast playing with them. It was also fun to have Alivia and Cooper together. They are a week apart and are at a very fun age. I think they were tired because we just couldn't get them both to smile at the same time, or at all for that matter!
It was a fun day, and we even got to see Grandma Karen again yesterday, when she took Aunt Tamra back to the airport. We always feel so lucky when we get to spend time with our family!

Cherry Hill

Yesterday we had an amazing day at Cherry Hill. I had a good friend from Bells give us some passes to use, so we took advantage of them and used them before the end of the season (which is next weekend). We headed up there about 2 and Nick joined us after he got off of work around 2:30. Matt, Natalie, and Hallie also joined us for some fun in the sun, which made it even more fun! We enjoyed the kiddie pool, the lazy river (one of our favorite things there), and the fun water slides. We had season passes to Seven Peaks in SLC, but I think we like Cherry Hill a LOT more. It is just more family friendly, comfortable, more shade, and they allow outside food. Livy did so good and loved playing in the water and floating on a tube with me around the lazy river. The two older kids loved the water slides. It was so fun to see tiny little Kaylee on these HUGE tubes going down the rapids. Neither of the older kids had any fear and loved every minute of it. Yesterday, was probably one of the top 10 days of our summer. Here are some pictures of our fantastic day!

Around dinnertime, Natalie and I ran to Smith's just down the road and grabbed some Chicken, rolls, and potato logs for dinner. Then after dinner the kids wanted to do some more swimming. So we did!
We ended up staying until they closed at 8 PM. I think we could have easily stayed for a few more hours if they were still open! It was that much fun! The water was warm, the skies were clear, and the company was enjoyable! It was fun for the kids to get to spend some time with Hallie. After we said goodbye to Matt's family, on our way home we stopped at Orange Leaf in Farmington and enjoyed some frozen yogurt, one of our favorite snacks! We can't wait to do this again next year!

1st Grade Here He Comes!!!

Yesterday, Carson had his first day of 1st Grade!!! It was an exciting day! We got up early and got ready, picked out his clothes, packed his lunch, and we all took him to the school to drop him off. (Minus Dad who was at work).

Carson is walking backwards in this picture....he was a pretty happy boy on his way to school. He was especially excited to get to take a lunch to school. We are going to look at the menu and decide what days he will take a lunch and what days he will buy school lunch. It was an early out day, but Nick came home early so we could all go pick him up from school.
He had a great first day and today he had his first FULL day. He said it was pretty long but not boring. He also had fun eating his lunch from home, just PB&J, but that is his favorite! I am still getting used to the idea of Carson being in first grade. I know he will have a blast and learn so much! I think Kaylee will miss him during the day, but today I enjoyed the quietness of the house and the lack of fighting between Kaylee and Carson. Kaylee starts preschool again after Labor Day and then I will really enjoy a quiet house with just Alivia! It is a little sad to see them all get bigger, but I am going to try and enjoy it while it happens since I can't make it stop!

4th of July, the Pugmire Way

We had such a great 4th of July! All of my kids were excited and were awake by 6:30 am! I think they were just as excited for this holiday as they were for Christmas!

Here are the girls in their festive dresses waiting for the parade to start in Idaho Falls. (yes, I made the dresses. The girls wanted to have some fun, patriotic dresses to wear so we went and bought the material the Thursday before the 4th and I made them very quickly on the 3rd! )
This is a funny picture to me because I remember my mom dressing my sisters and me up in matching outfits ALL the time. I swore I would never do that to my kids! We got lots of compliments during the day on how cute they were though!

After the parade was over, we headed over to Justin's office and helped him put some bookshelves together for his office and the kids rode their bikes around the parking lot while they waited for lunch to cook. We grilled up hotdogs and had watermelon, pineapple and chips! It was delicious! I just loved spending the day with the family.

Mayci wanted me to take a picture of her doing everything that day. She kept switching from her scooter to her bike the entire time we were at Justin's office. Silly girl!

Cooper was such a trooper all day long. He spent most of the day in his carseat but did so good. He only fussed when he was hungry.

After lunch, we took the kids to go watch the movie '17 Miracles'. We loved it! It was similar to the stake play that the kids were in. The kids enjoyed seeing the characters that they played and also characters of our neighbors. It was nice and air conditioned in the theater which helped cool us off before our bike ride.

We had worked on everyones bikes on Saturday (July 2nd) so we could take them into Idaho Falls and ride around town that afternoon. We were quite the site riding around. We put Mayci and Cooper (in his carseat) in the bike trailer and everyone else rode bikes. When we rode single file we had quite the train going. In fact, a few times while riding through crowds, people would stop and wait for us to go by and if Kenzie and I weren't right with the rest of the group it would take people off guard. They would laugh and say, "Oh, there's more!" as they got out of the way for us!

We stopped to rest in front of the falls long enough to get a picture or two.

We made our way over to Arctic Circle for dinner. The kids were glad to rest for a bit and cool off! As you can see, Madison's face is pretty red! It was a very warm day!

After dinner we dropped the bikes off at Justin's office and drove over to find us a place to sit for the fireworks. We decided to try sitting just west of the temple this year, on the road. We sat just north of the highway last year and we decided that was a much better place. Not as many people and pretty much right under the fireworks. Now we know!

We brought some games for the kids to play while we waited and we also walked around to see all the vendors that were there. Of course, we had to go buy our favorite, Kettle Korn!!! Ok, it's really mom's favorite but I did share!

All of the kids stayed awake for the fireworks until about 1/2 way through them. Mayci just got too tired. I couldn't believe she lasted that long. She played hard all day and didn't slow down until the fireworks actually started. Idaho Falls puts on an amazing show every year. The fireworks started just after 10 pm and lasted for about 25 minutes. What's amazing is that you don't ever know when the grand finale is because the entire time it's like it's the grand finale! Lots of fireworks!!! We will probably make this a tradition each year! Nothing beats playing hard with your family and creating memories!
